About Us
House Rescue Incorporated, founded by Ozell Lincoln Jr., is a nonprofit organization made up of individuals who have come together to make a differnce in the lives of the people and the communities that we serve. One of our many guiding principles is to always "leave it better than you found it". This is true with both people and properties. We seek to always meet people where they are and build upon what they have without passing judgement.
We have found that the process of restoring people is very similar to the process of restoring properties. First you must find a way to remove the trash and debris. This may be in the form of addiction, negativity, poor circumstances, unemployment or homelessness. Once you get past these things you can truly assess the condition and determine a proper course of action. Primarily this may involve providing structure, support and repairs where needed.
Once this process is underway you can apply fresh paint and furnishings to create a comfortable home. This applies with people also. You must always put first things first in order to build a comfortable life. There may be problems and challenges along the way, but if you have the foundation and support correct, you can weather any storm. The true strength is found in building Community.
